2012 Race Calendar

As per my previous blog and the fact we will not be riding the Harley this year, our concentration will be focused on the Supertwin. Therefore we have looked and decided to compete in the ThundersportGB Championship as it provides good TV coverage for the races. In addition to this we intend to compete in the inaugural Supertwin race at the International North West 200 in Northern Ireland as well as the Cock o' North and Gold Cup races held at Olivers' Mount in Scarborough.
Below is our race calendar for this season and I hope some of you can make it to some of the races.
3rd/4th March - Brands Hatch
24th/25th March - Donington Park
21st/22nd April - Mallory Park
13th/19th May - North West 200
26th May - Oulton Park
23rd/24th June - Snetterton
21st/22nd July - Olivers Mount, Scarboro
28th/29th July - Rockingham
26th/27th August - Anglesey
15th/16th September - Olivers Mount, Scarboro
22nd/23rd September - Cadwell Park
20th/21st October - Mallory Park

Harley No More

Unfortunately it now looks as if the Harley Davidson XR1200 Trophy will not be running in 2012. The guys had been trying hard to secure the backing for the series but time has run out on them getting the deal sorted. This is a great shame to ourselves as we managed some good results last year and were looking forward to picking up where we left off. This now leaves us to concentrate on the Supertwin although there may yet be a couple of outings on a Supermono but more of that later.

Keeping A Check On My Fluids ?

Goodridge have been kind enough to support us over the last few seasons, and I am pleased to say they will be with us again for 2012. For starters Goodridge will be providing us with brake lines for our Kawasaki Supertwin incorporating their amazing G-Link 'quick disconnect couplings'. These allow the brakes to be removed without the need to bleed them afterwards. For more information on what Goodridge can provide please check them out at http://www.goodridge.net/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/topcategories_-1_64_10551

Out in the Buff !

Our thanks go to 'Buff' who have been kind enough to sponsor us with some of their gear for this season. Buff have made their name making headwear for every occasion and have supported motorcycling for a number of years now. The Buff's are great when out on the bike as they keep the cold and drafts out. Check the guys out at https://www.buffwear.co.uk/catalogue/ and see what they have to offer.

Keeping My Rubber Warm

Some more great news today in that Holroyd Tyrewarmers will be supporting us again for a third consecutive season. This goes to show how happy we are with their products and they are with our performances. These warmers really do offer some of the best quality products I have used at a very reasonable price. For more info checkout their website at http://www.holroydtyrewarmers.co.uk/index.asp or their facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Holroyd-Tyrewarmers/181531628588279

Versys Swingarm Stripped to the Bone

To give the ER6 Supertwin that 'factory' look we have had the Versys swingarm stripped of all its paint.
All we need to do now is give the cast areas a clean up, fit new bearings and it will be ready to slot into the newly powder coated frame.

Kawasaki ER6 / Versys Ramair / Airduct

The post arrived today and along with it came this airduct for our Kawaskai ER6 Supertwin. This fits over the top of the radiator, although it does have to be droppped a little and into the standard airbox. Thus giving us a ramair solution with the minimum amount of fuss. More pics will come once it is fitted.
